Doctor Strange: Elemental Review

Water: For the visuals, especially in the Mirror Dimension!
Earth: For the Sling Ring, which allows the mystics to open portals.
Air: For the Cape of Levitation.
Fire: For being one of the top Marvel movies in the Cinematic Universe!

I consider myself a comic book nerd, but I honestly didn't know much about Doctor Strange except for what I've seen in the Amazing Spider-Man Animated Series from when I was a child...And even that I didn't remember much.  Honestly, I always wondered how magic and wizardry would fit into the Marvel Universe.  I mean, the Marvel Universe to me was X-men -- basically normal people with strange powers.  The Cinematic Universe did great with adding Thor and the "gods" into the universe and it started to make sense for me.  So I figured added Doctor Strange wouldn't be that bad.  Honestly, I love anything to do with magic and wizards and urban fantasy.  That's what Doctor Strange was going to be!

They blew it out of the water!  Doctor Strange was AMAZING.  I would rate it third best Marvel Cinematic Universe movie.  Ready:
1. Guardians of the Galaxy
2. Civil War
3. Doctor Strange
4. Avengers

Yup, I said it, well, wrote it.  Doctor Strange beats the Avengers!

One America, One Nation

Do not forget that we are not two nations: Democrat and Republican, Elephant and Donkey, Red and Blue, Trump and Clinton...We are ONE nation. We are a nation built on differences. That is what makes us strong! We need to come back together, take in all of these different points of view. Accept them. Then make a decision...TOGETHER. Hate and violence will only take us back in time...Laziness, complacency, and sitting on the couch, will not promote change.
To my brothers and sisters that are scared, that fear walking down the street again. Those people that make you fear have been here all along, they haven't changed, they haven't disappeared and come back. They have always been here. We have been here before! We have fought adversity our entire lives! This is weaker than us! We are better than this! Our job is not to make others support us and see things our way. Our job is to make them understand love like we do, a love that defies the very laws of nature! So do not be scared, because showing fear will make them think they won. Showing fear will make them think that we are going to go back to our closets! We are not going anywhere.
...And to people who claim they are going to leave the country...I understand where you are coming from, but running away never solved anything. Your mothers should have taught you this. This country was not built on cowardice and giving up. We are not a country that gives up!
Do not ask a hateful person to change their mind, to believe your way. Ask them to listen, to understand, to ACCEPT...And move on to the next. Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love!

Kubo & The Two Strings: Elemental Review

Water: Is for animation.  The animation in this movie is unlike anything I have ever seen.  It was almost like everything was made from paper, which makes sense in the movie.  However, it was awesome.

Earth: Is for Asia.  I say Asia because I am an ignorant white American and I am not sure if this movie draws inspiration from Japan or China, but it was amazing.  I love the mythologies of both of these countries and how they inject it in all of their modern art forms.

Air: Is for magic.  The magic use in this movie was fantastic.  It kind of reminded me of Avatar: The Last Airbender.  I loved it!  I loved it!

Fire: Is for the moon.  The moon plays a role in the movie and the scene at the end with the moon character, I loved how he looked with the light around him in halos.  I thought it was pretty great.  I liked that part.  I liked the way that it looked.

This movie was good.  It wasn't amazing, but the animation was different and the story was okay.  It wasn't that original.  But I believe the movie was about the animation and not the story.  Definitely worth a viewing.

Sausage Party: Elemental Review

Water: Is for fluids.  That is all that I will say about that.

Earth: Is for bath salts.  I HATE drug use in movies.  I think it's tasteless, but I understand the world we live in and that it's part of most people's everyday life.

Air: Is for words and messages.  Despite the movie's lack of boundaries.  It does reveal an over-all message at the end that I can stand with.  The message that we are all different and have different beliefs and come from different backgrounds, but we all can live in harmony.

Fire: Is for the unexpected!  The movie was hilarious!  I couldn't stop laughing for the first twenty minutes at how ridiculous it was, but also on how honest it was in regards to today's society through the eyes of food.  The movie crossed all possible boundaries.  There were no boundaries!

This movie was good over all.  It made me uncomfortable at some moments.  I was uncomfortable to be watching this movie in public with other people around me.  But it was also hilarious and had a pretty good message about religion, minorities, ethnicities, and how we can all come together in a giant orgy...

Suicide Squad: Elemental Review

Water: Is for Killer Croc.  I thought he was one of the coolest characters out of the group.  He definitely has a troubled past, hated for the way he looks, and lived underwater in sewers.  I'd like to learn more about him.

Earth: Is for bullets, more notably Will Smith's bullets.  As always, bravo to Willie.  The Fresh Prince delivered a great character.

Air: Is for the moon, which reminds me of the Enchantress.  She was AWESOME!  I need to read some comics with her in it.  I loved how every time she was on screen as the Enchantress, she was shrouded in darkness.  I'm sure it's an easy camera trick or CGI, but it was awesome.  It really looked like she was some dark deity.

Fire: Is for crazy and unpredictable, which means Joker and Harley Quinn.  Harley Quinn was crazy and she played it well.  Joker was fantastic!  However, I feel like he was just thrown in the movie so DC could say they have Joker in a movie, now that they are trying to recharge their cinematic universe.  I think his moments were acted out greatly, but I think all of his parts were pointless.

Suicide Squad was the best DC cinematic universe movie to come out so far.  It was paced properly and I think that with a large cast of characters they did a good job at making sure each character has enough screen time and story background that you actually feel for them.  Even though they are all villains, you can actually feel sympathy for each of them and know their motivations.
